Brighton is a private school which was founded in 2003 to serve students who learn best in small classes, or are one or more years behind academically, or have an LD (Learning Disability) diagnosis, or have difficulty with attention, anxiety, motivation, memory, language, reasoning, spatial or sequential ordering or graphomotor functions. Brighton is fully inspected and accredited with the Ontario Ministry of Education.
Our Elementary Program is designed for students who are experiencing challenges with academics or social skills, our program provides both curriculum-based and remedial programs in all core academics. Small group learning is supported by assistive technology using iPads or classroom computers. Combined with a fun and inclusive arts and physical education program, after school clubs, and integrated social education, Brighton is a warm and supportive learning community.
Brighton’s innovative Secondary program is designed to meet the needs of students who would have difficulty meeting the demands of a typical high school program and social environment. We offer Ministry of Education credit courses, pre-credit courses, and an alternative non-credit Transition to Adulthood program, which provides employment preparation and independent living skills.
